Filing Your Taxes for 2006
The following information is
valid for filing your tax return for Tax Year 2006. The
IRS tax filing deadline for Tax Year 2006 is April 17, 2007.
In accordance with IRS
guidelines, 1099-B and 1099-INT tax forms will be mailed no
later than January 31, 2007. Form 1042-S will be mailed
no later than March 15, 2007. Clients who were Refco
customers prior to the merger and conversion of accounts may
be receiving two statements.

Foreign Investors
Both Man Financial and Man
Securities will send out IRS Form 1042-S to foreign account
holders with U.S. Source Income. In accordance with IRS
regulations, financial institutions are required to report
U.S. source income, and to obtain W-8 forms with the client’s
original signature within 90 days of the account opening.
Accounts that do not have an original W-8 on file, within this
90 day window, will be subject to IRS back-up withholding tax
at the rate of 30% on their U.S. source income.
